Get inspired by the ancient greek theatre!
Every year for the last eleven ones, Cattolica university in Milan hosts the Thauma festival, dedicated to theatre and what it can bring to our lives. Schools from all over Italy come to present to the judjes their interpretations and remakes of different ancient tragedies and comedies. The competition, held usually in April, will involve a part of presentation and execution of the performance, and a second part, held a week or two later, that consists in awarding those who have done better in various categories, such as best reinterpretation, more accurate, best costumes and beat music. This beautiful initiative has proven in the past decade to be very handy in helping students better understand the ancient tragedies in a deeper and more immersive way. It has also really helped in creating a positive environment for students to express themselves and create deeper bonds with each other.
